New Zealand Side Trip

We have had contact with Brother Maurer in Aukland, New Zealand. He is the Seminary and Institute director over the Pacific area. He had expressed a desire to have us make a stop in Aukland on our way to Sydney for some additional training. It’s looking good for that to happen, but the final travel arrangements will not be made until our Visas have been approved. But we will probably fly from SLC to Aukland, spend a day and a half there and then fly to Sydney. Can’t imagine what this will do to our body clocks, but may make it easier to make the adjustment.

Things are getting closer…that’s for sure! I worked my last day at the temple yesterday and said goodbye to all my co-workers there. We’ll be attending the temple before we go, but probably not on Tuesday. It’s closed the next two Tuesdays, anyway and saying goodbye more than once would be too difficult to handle.

We’ve done most of our clothing purchases. It’s been interesting shopping for clothes that can be worn in the summer. Well, a little harder for me, anyway. Men’s white shirts do come in both long and short sleeves. 🙂

Just for all your information…we are speaking in the Singles Ward (Orange Hills Ward) on Dec 30 at 1:00 p.m. We are also speaking in our home ward (Santiago Creek Ward) on January 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the Stake Center on Yorba in Orange. We are also having a family and friends gathering for people to say goodbye. This will be at our friend, Linda Corwin’s house at 864 Snow Goose, Orange, 92869 from 6:30-8:30 that evening. We’ll be serving refreshments and hugs! Please come, if you are nearby.

Things are feeling really close…deep breath taken!
